FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE


The future perfect continuous tense is the future of the present perfect continuous tense.

Compare the following examples.

Present perfect continuous tense
  • Martin has been working at the company since 2005.
  • He and I have been working at the same company up to now.
Future perfect continuous tense
  • By next year, he will have been working there for eleven years.
Present perfect continuous tense
  • Jane has been studying at the college for one year.
Future perfect continuous tense
  • By the end of this year, she will have been studying there for two years.
